The Massapequa community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Emma Rose Angelillo, a beloved second-grade student at Lockhart Elementary School. Emma’s radiant smile, kind heart, and joyful spirit touched the lives of everyone around her, making the news of her passing all the more devastating.
Emma was a child full of love and laughter, bringing warmth to her classmates, teachers, and family. Her presence brightened every room, and her kindness left an impression on those lucky enough to know her. She loved learning, playing with her friends, and spreading happiness wherever she went.
In honor of Emma’s memory, the Massapequa Council of PTAs has encouraged everyone to wear purple on Monday, March 24, 2025—a gesture symbolizing love and remembrance. Plans are also underway for a candlelight vigil and a memory wall at her school, where heartfelt tributes can be shared.
While Emma’s time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the joy she brought will forever be cherished. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the entire Massapequa community.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to her family during this unimaginable time. May Emma rest in eternal peace.
